AmazonFresh iPhone App: Easy to get incorrect menu headings

There is an extremely minor problem on the “More” screen of the iPhone app.

This bug is somewhat common on various iPhone apps.   I always subconsciously look for this one as soon as I try a new app. I was surprised to see it in an Amazon produced iPhone app.  This is the first time that I’ve discovered this problem with something that Amazon has produced.

This problem is much easier to show than to describe, so if you’re interested, you can just scroll down to the attached screenshots.

Here’s the basics:

There’s a “More” screen in the AmazonFresh app.  This “More” screen has six selectable options on the screen.  In the middle of these six options there are three labeled “FAQ” and “About” and “Legal.”

If the user coordinates pressing two of these options at the same time, the label at the top of the screen will disappear, or will be replaced by an incorrect heading.  The user will be on the “Legal” screen with the label of “About” at the top.

This isn’t exactly a bug that a lot of people will run into, but it is a bug that you’ll find on a number iPhone apps.  I’ve noticed similar problems with the Wanelo, Nosh and Vine iPhone apps recently.

Steps:

1.     While logged into AmazonFresh account, launch the iPhone app (version 1.1.6)

2.     From within the AmazonFresh iPhone app select “More” in the bottom right hand corner of the screen

3.     From the “More” screen select and then release “About” and “Legal” at the same time

4.     Watch the heading on the screen – incorrect heading will appear at the top of the UI

Result:  Using a very roundabout method, it is possible to get the heading on the “More” screen of the AmazonFresh iPhone app to be incorrect

Expected:  This shouldn’t happen, most apps don’t have this problem

From the "More" screen of the AmazonFresh iPhone app, select "About" and "Legal" at the same time....

You'll see that you can select "About" and "Legal" at the same time.  Keep a close eye of the text at the top of the screen from this point forward...

The "More" heading is appearing incorrectly on the "About" screen.  You can also toggle through and see different text whisk by on the top of the screen.
