Dots iPhone App: Easy to get "Exit to Menu" overlaid on screen.

Date: 06/19/2013

Description:

This isn't likely to ever happen in the real world, but it exists!

Using a "horse gallop" technique with the Dots iPhone app, there is a consistent way to get the "Exit to Menu" option overlaid over the playing screen.

You can even play the game with the "Exit to Menu" blue button overlaid over the field of dots.

This is much easier to show than to describe, so please just take a look at the attached screenshots.

Steps to reproduce this issue.

1.  Launch the Dots iPhone App
2.  Select "Play Now" and enter into a game
3.  (Use two fingers - easiest with two thumbs) Gently tap the "Time" and the "Score" areas at the top of the screen in an alternating "horse gallop" manner

Result:  There is an easy way to activate a UI bug with the Dots iPhone app - it is easy to get the "Exit to Menu" option overlaid on the page of dots

Expected:  Shouldn't be able to drag pieces of the UI around

It is pretty easy to get "Exit to Menu" to appear over the dots.  The time counter is counting down, and you can continue playing the game with "Exit to Menu" overlapped on the screen...

The time counter keeps counting down, and my score went up, as I continued to play with "Exit to Menu" overlaid on the screen...

You can even drag "Exit to Menu" into other screens.
