Fleep iPhone App: Version 1.0
Description:
I was playing around last night with the Fleep iPhoneApp. If you haven’t downloaded it yet,
you should. It’s interesting.
I did find one minor bug with the Fleep app – a very easy to
reproduce crash.
This crash isn’t the type of crash that a normal user will
encounter. Still, it happens, so I’ve
decided to write it down.
This crash is similar to a number of other crashes that I’ve
discovered with other apps.
This crash is much easier to show than to describe, so if
you’re interested, please just scroll down to the single attached screenshot.
When you launch the app, you’re provided with a default “Fleep
Support” message. From this “Fleep
Support” message, the user is presented with two options in the upper left and
upper right corners of the screen.
One of these options is a “pinned messages” icon in the
upper right. The other is a back option
in the upper left. If the user presses
and releases these two options at the exact same time, the app will crash 100
percent.
Steps to reproduce:
1.
Download the Fleep iPhone app and create an
account by confirming the sent email
2.
Sign into your account
3.
Select the default “Fleep Support” message
4.
From the “Fleep Support” message screen, press
and hold the pinned message and back icons
5.
Release the held down pinned message and back
icons at the exact same moment
Result: There is an
easy to reproduce crash with the Fleep iPhone App (version 1.0) on the “Support
Message” screen – the app will crash if you press and hold the pinned message
and back icons at the same time, and then release at the same time
Expected: No crash on
the “Support Message” screen
Repro Rate (takes practice) 7/7
