Privacy Policy link on the Mitt VP iPhone App doesn't take user to a privacy policy

Mitt's VP iPhone App (version 1.0.0)

The privacy policy link in the new Mitt's VP app doesn't take you to a privacy policy page... it just takes you to a page that hits you up for a donation!

On the "about" section of the new "Mitt's VP" app, there's a brief paragraph that reads:

"By using this application, you may be placed on Romney for President, Inc.'s contact list to receive campaign updates but may opt out at any time.  Romney for President's regular Privacy Policy shall apply."

Underneath this paragraph that looks as if it should link to a privacy policy.  But, on the iPhone, if you click on this link, you get taken to a page asking for a donation.

No privacy information in sight!

Repro Steps:

1.  Download the Mitt's VP app from the App Store
2.  Launch the new Mitt's VP app
3.  From the home page, you'll see a white "i" in a circle in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  Tap it!
4.  From the "About" screen click on the link labeled privacy
5.  Note that you're not taken to a page with any kind of privacy policy for the app

Result:  The privacy policy link on the "About" section of the new "Mitt's VP" iPhone App doesn't take the user to a privacy policy

Expected:  Every app should have working links to the privacy policy of the organization that released the app

Download the Mitt's VP app.

Click on the "i" in the upper right hand corner of the app.

Click on the privacy link.

Not taken to a page with privacy information.

City Chatter iPhone App: Typo in error message

City Chatter iPhone App (version 1.0)

Today, while half watching the Olympics, I downloaded and played around with the City Chatter iPhone app.  It was pretty fun, and I recommend downloading it to check it out.

There was one minor problem that I discovered during account creation.  I am going to guess this will be very easy to fix.

There's a minor typo on an error message.

On the Sign In screen, the error message for a blank email input box displays as, "Please inout email".

Repro Steps:

1.  Download and launch City Chatter
2.  Select the "Sign in using my email" link
3.  With nothing entered into the Email box, tap on "Sign In"

Result:  The error message for a blank email input box has a typo, the message displays the phrase "Please inout email"

Expected:  That "Please inout email" will be changed to "Please input email"

Trover iPhone app, easy and odd way to get camera pop-up partially off screen!

Trover iPhone App (version 1.4.1)

This is an extremely minor bug with the Trover iPhone app that I had to write down.  I couldn't help myself.

If you haven't downloaded the Trover iPhone app yet, you should.  I've been using it for nearly a year now, and I quite enjoy it.

Anyways, here's an extremely minor bug.  It be quicker to just take a look at the attached screenshots, but what follows is a description of how I can get it to reproduce.  This bug is a "kick yourself" kind of bug, which are my absolute favorites.

Here's how it works:

If you're already created an account, you land on a Trover home screen when you launch the app.

On this home screen, there's a plus in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and 3 lines in the upper left hand corner of the screen.  If you press these two buttons simultaneously (which is, of course, the first thing every end user would do) you can very easily bring up the "Take with camera/Choose from library" menu option in a caddywompus way!

The "Take with camera/Choose from library" option will actually appear nearly entirely off the screen, which is not something i've seen very often in an iPhone app!  And yes, i've been doing stuff like this for years!

Anyhooter, here's some brief repro steps, but in order to see what i'm talking about, just take a look at the attached screenshots.

Repro Steps:

1.  Download Trover and have an active, logged in account
2.  Launch the Trover iPhone app (version 1.4.1)
3.  Use two fingers, and press the plus symbol and 3 lines symbol in unison (takes practice, but once you get in the groove, it's 100 percent)

Result:  Pressing the plus symbol and the 3 lines symbol on the Trover home page results in the "Take with camera/Choose from library" option being partially off screen

Expected:  That pressing the plus symbol and the 3 lines symbol in unions will not result in the camera pop-up option being partially off screen

Launch the Trover iPhone app, take two fingers, and press those two buttons at the top.

Very easy to get the camera choice pop-up to appear partially off screen.

AppAide iPhone App: Clicking on "<- Cancel, and return to app" link from Twitter log-in didn't return me into the app

AppAide iPhone app (Version 1.0)

I just downloaded the newly released AppAide iPhone app, which is a great idea!

I played around with it for a few minutes, and found an extremely minor bug that I couldn't not report.

If you launch the app, and log in with Facebook, you're dropped on a screen where you're encouraged to invite people.

If you select the Twitter option, and then back out of the "Twitter Info" screen by using the "<- Cancel, and return to app" link, you're suddenly dropped on the AppAi.de landing page, instead of being return to the AppAide app's invitation screen.

Like I said, it's an extremely minor bug, but I instantly notice it.  Please see the attached screenshots.

Repro Steps:

1.  Download and launch the AppAide iPhone app
2.  Log in with your Facebook
3.  From the AppAide invitation screen, select the twitter icon
4.  From the "Twitter Info" screen, press the "<- Cancel, and return to app" link

Result:  Backing out from "Twitter Info" screen using "<- Cancel, and return to app" leaves user on the AppAi.de landing page

Expected:  I expected to be returned to the AppAide iPhone app after I clicked on the "<- Cancel, and return to app" link

  Click on Twitter link.

Click on "<- Cancel, and return to app"

Not returned to app.  Taken to website, which doesn't display properly.  You can easily cancel out, but it was first thing that I noticed.

Raved iPhone app - biggest complaint after first use.

Raved iPhone app.  Version 1.0 Build 2

Just downloaded the new iPhone app Raved, which is a lot of fun.

I've played around with it on multiple occasions, on different days.

My main complaint:

Several times now, i've gone in and added a "New Rave" to a location.  When I add a new rave, I almost always upload a photo.  I like nothing better than uploading my photos of businesses in Seattle.  It makes me feel like I am helping local business.

Anyways, with Raved, the one thing that upsets me is that when I go back to a place detail page, I can instantly destroy my uploaded rave by tapping the rave icon once.  At least it seems to me as if my uploaded rave has been destroy.

There's no "confirmation of destructive actions" dialogue, it just disappears.

Repro Steps:

1.  Go to the detail page of a local business (that does not have a rave tip)
2.  Enter in a Rave Tip
3.  Go back to detail page
4.  With your own Rave Tip on screen, tap the rave icon once

Result:  When I click the Rave Icon, my rave tip always seems to disappear!  Is it erased?

Expected:  I don't want my Rave Tip to disappear when I click on rave icon

This is restaurant in Seattle.  I added a Rave last week.  I was the first person to Rave this location.

I click on the Rave icon once.

What happened to my Rave?  Is it gone forever?
